What good looks like: passing

If you missed yesterday’s post, we started off with Ball Control, which you can read here.

Technical Ability:

I guess you can call this a series. We’re onto the second technical skill which is passing. Kind of a big deal in the game.

What good looks like: Passing

You must be able to successfully complete both short and long-range passes. This involves all aspects of your ball skills—including heading, bending, chipping, and driving the ball accurately to a teammate. At higher levels of play, it’s actually easier to control and make quick decisions with a ball that is driven to you rather than one that is weakly played. Focus on developing the ability to play and receive one-touch passes with confidence.

The next three technical skills will be dribbling, heading and finishing. Stay tuned.
