Building Experience Abroad
This marks the third international trip of 2026 for Schoepfer’s U-16 group. Earlier this year, the team traveled to Spain in January and Türkiye in February, continuing a clear emphasis on global development/experience.
So far, the squad has compiled a 3W–2L–1D record across six matches while testing themselves against elite competition including Germany, Belgium, Spain, Denmark, and England.
This L’Albir roster features a blend of returning players from previous camps along with three new additions, continuing to expand the player pool.
All players are born in 2010, aligning with the age cycle for the 2027 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Before reaching that stage, this group will need to qualify through the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship.
The roster includes 19 youth club players, plus one pro-experienced standout:
- Valentina Perrotta (midfielder), who has already made seven appearances for DC Power FC in the USL Super League this season.
