Emma Hayes, the USWNT gaffer has named a 26-player roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team’s upcoming three-game series against Japan Women’s National Football Team, the reigning champions of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
The roster features 23 field players and three goalkeepers, with Hayes selecting 23 players to dress for each match of the series.

Key Returns Highlight Roster
Veteran goalkeeper Jane Campbell headlines the group of ‘keepers, returning to camp with the most international experience among them (10 caps). She is joined by Claudia Dickey and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
Up top, Michelle Cooper returns to the squad for the first time in 2026 after recovering from injury, adding another dynamic attacking option.
One of the biggest storylines is the return of Sophia Wilson, who is back in camp after a 17-month absence following the birth of her daughter in September 2025. Wilson is a proven presence , with 24 goals in 58 international appearances.
Defensively, Tierna Davidson is back after recovering from a torn ACL suffered early in the 2025 club season. Her last appearance for the U.S. came against Japan on February 26, 2025, in the SheBelieves Cup finale. Davidson has earned 67 caps and scored three goals for the national team.
