FTLOS HQ | News broke today of the payouts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and boy oh boy.

Hoisting the World Cup trophy next year will come with an unprecedented financial reward, as FIFA confirmed the champion’s national association will receive $50 million in prize money. You read that right…$50 million.

The expanded tournament across the United States, Mexico, and Canada will distribute a total of $727 million among all 48 participating nations, marking the largest prize pool in World Cup history.

Earnings History

Argentina took him $42 million after defeating France in penalties in the last World Cup in Qatar. France took home $38 million when they won the World Cup in 2018 in Russia.

1982 was the first time they made public the winning team payouts and that was Italy, earning a whopping $2.2 million.

The Group Exit Payout

Back to the 2026 FIFA World Cup – even if you get eliminated in the group stage you could be taking home at the minimum $9 million as a parting gift.
