What was supposed to be a lovely day of soccer turned out to be a quick and painful end to the day with a sack of frozen peas on the nads.

As reported by Bavarian Football Works back in February, referee Stefan Kahler was tidying up his pre match check-in between FC Taxi II and Rot-Weiss Mulheim III, two lower-tier German teams (8th division).

The referee remembers seeing a little kid warming with the FC Taxi players.  It was the son of a player.

“[The child] came closer and closer to me, then suddenly – to my complete surprise – gave me a sharp bite in my left testicle,” Kahler wrote in a report about the incident.

The pain was so severe that the referee had to cancel the game because there were no alternative referees.

To be honest, you probably could have found couple honest fellas in the stands to referee the match.

The game had to be re-scheduled at a later date.
