39 year old Hendrik Letteboer serves as Bonaire’s back up GK and they are set to play El Salvador tonight at 7:00pm central time in Nations League. Unfortunately, the starting GK wasn’t released for international duty because he is still in High School. So, apparently Letteboer will get the nod between the pipes tonight.
CONCACAF’s member nations range from large countries like the United States and Mexico to smaller Caribbean and Central American nations, giving the confederation a unique diversity in size and competitive levels.
The island of Bonaire is a small, Caribbean island that is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Located just off the northern coast of Venezuela, it is part of the ABC islands, along with Aruba and Curaçao. Bonaire is particularly known for its stunning coral reefs and clear waters, which make it a world-renowned destination for diving and snorkeling.
Politically, Bonaire became a special municipality of the Netherlands in 2010 after the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles. It is officially considered part of the Netherlands, with residents having Dutch nationality.
